THE COMPETITION: On Thursday, January 29th, 2004, our Mousetrap Cars were due in Mr. McMahon's physics class. Everyone stood around perfecting and fixing their cars; Robin drew pictures, Marcus took pictures, and hearts pounded in excitement for the big race. Each student or group in the class had to make a Mousetrap Car that is powered soley by the enerygy from the trap and a piece of string tied to one axle. To make the grade, these cars had to be able to travel 5-meters and extra credit was given to those who were the top three fastest. Our Mousetrap Car was able to go the distance, but wasn't quite speedy enough for the e.c.
